Biography
Dave A. Munroe aka RAS D a star out of Kingston, Jamaica started writing and performing at a young age. One of his first songs written that charted was named LASCO it was performed by FLOUREGAN (1997).
He then started performing in many venues across Jamaica which led to a tour of the United States accompanying Andrew Tosh, Son of Steppin' Razor Peter Tosh.
RAS D is now living in Northern California where he has used his international influences to promote and inspire his album which was recorded in Oakland, California, “GIVE SOME LOVE TODAY” débuted (2004). This album features all original lyrics and music by RAS D. It includes performances by Andrew Tosh, JR Toots, Brendan Munroe, Under-P and Regina Espinoza. It was motivated by JAH and fuelled by his passion and experiences touring. This album encapsulates what is known today as Reggae.
Inspired by the success of his first album and industry accolades, RAS D went on to give us the next innovative album called “LOVE WITH MEANING”. The truly thought provoking songs on this album is true to his roots and keeping his Jamaican message alive.
His unique, captivating voice and music which is a crossover of Reggae, Roots, Dance Hall and R&B has travelled across the world. He has performed at many different venues including some of the following: Napa Valley Reggae Festival; Ashkenaz; Pier 23; Island Paradise; Black Exp 2002; Bluesville; Dreadstock Reggae Festival; Kaui War Memorial Convention Hall, Hawaii; Round Tree Ballroom; People's Park; Oakland Convention Center; Mandela Village; End Zone Sports Club; The Bamboo Hut; Karibbean City; Mr. Lucky’s; Monterey Bay Reggae Festival; Sweet Fingers, The Catalyst, Club Six, The Stag plus many more.

His latest venture has him featured in a Jamaican movie "Cop and a Bad Man".
His musical journey and belief transcends beyond ages and continents. The new single "LIFE" that was recorded at Mountain Mist Studio, Waterford, St. Catherine, Jamaica is making him a force de jeur in the reggae music industry.
His new album JAH REIGN is already being played worldwide before its official release.
